Copies of the engagement ring Prince William gifted Kate Middleton are reportedly selling for $3 in China’s online mall, Taobao.Com.
The imitation pieces are made of zircon and the ring have been modified with a few “diamonds” surrounding the blue stone, to ward off a lawsuit. Ever since the engagement announcement, factories in China have been scrambling to make souvenir items about the couple. The replica rings, in fact, are going to be exported to Brazil.
