If you are looking to make your own wedding rings and you are going to be near New York, you are in luck as NewYorkWeddingRing.com offers workshops where you can make your own wedding ring.

Estimated fee, including workshop, precious metal & sales tax, for a full-day simple wedding bands class. All workshops are private for each couple. Simple wedding bands usually take 7-9 hours. The prices listed are examples of the price of a 6mm and 4mm band. You are welcome to choose different band widths – the price will change with the weight of precious metal. You can estimate the cost of your bands here.
