Bone Rings to Covet

Science and fashion merge at Biojewellry, where they take bone to create a ring. Sound weird? Let me explain a bit more – although I can’t promise it’ll seem less weird. What is biojewellry? It’s a company that makes bone rings out of bioengineered bone tissue. The entire process seems way over my head (science is so not my thing) but I encourage you to check out their website to learn how they’re making these bone rings.

I hit the jackpot on the Shompole Collection website. They have three bone rings, and my favorite is the bone “mento” ring. (More than that, the shell rings there are to die for! The WHITE LAMU SHELL RING is my favorite.) Bone Ring.

Ring of Bone – Lew Welch
I saw myself
a ring of bone
in the clear stream
of all of it
and vowed
always to be open to it
that all of it
might flow through
and then I heard
“ring of bone” where
ring is what a
bell does
