We have covered plenty of butterfly rings on our jewelry blog, but the thing about butterflies is that you can never have just one. Wait, is that about potato chips? Well, I’d much prefer the sentiment be regulated towards butterfly jewelry, as potato chips are greasy and have an awful lot of carbs!

Normally one would wait until spring or summer to talk about butterfly rings, but I was inspired to post about them because I was watching Ugly Betty on Hulu.com. They had incorporated a feature piece on insect jewelry for Mode magazine, and of course butterflies are arguably the prettiest insects. Butterflies also have a good transformative story to tell – which worked well with Betty’s plot. Anyway! I took a couple screencaps of Ugly Betty to show you one particular scene which was so pretty – it involved an older woman who had a house full of butterflies. Can you imagine? I get excited when I just see ONE butterfly, if I saw that many I’d be so psyched. (Of course I’m certain these were mostly if not all CGI butterflies.)
