Ocappi offers 6 Engagement Rings at Once, for the indecisive groom

You probably heard a little about this on SNL. Ocappi now let’s you bring home up to six engagement rings at once. Please, please tell me you won’t ever do this. Seriously. The very idea makes me feel itchy.

Here’s the thing… ideally, this would mean you’d only be deciding which looks best before proposing with just the one ring… I can imagine a lot of guys enjoying being able to open up a ring box with six engagement rings. I bet some do.

And even though I’m picky, I can’t think of anything more insulting.

Do you know what that says? It says you don’t know your future fiancee very well.

Somehow, the idea of going with her to pick out the ring is less tacky than this method.

Here’s how it works… You pick out up to 6 rings, and they are shipped to you right away. Then you have five days to mull it over. Using the pre-paid return label you return them, and then make the purchase online. It seems like a lot of work, doesn’t it?

And, no, they don’t send you actual real diamonds. The rings are made with cubic zirconia. (You can keep them all for $75.00)

The man behind this idea (and yes, it IS a man) is Isaac Gurary. In a press release, he says, “It’s time to bring new technology and an appreciation for convenience, like Warby Parker is doing for eyewear, to what is too often an intimidating experience.”

Future brides: Just make a Pinterest board! That seems better, and easier, than this.

What do you think? Do you think Ocappi has a good idea?

Ciao for now,

Jessica
