Inspired by the brilliant childrens’ book, “Stig of the Dump”, I have made a series of pieces which focus primarily on the corroded metals, enhanced by details in silver and gemstones.
Made from a section of corroded box-girder, lined with sterling silver and set with 3 black CZ stones, this chunky ring is bound to attract comment. A little bit “Steampunk”, the industrial origins and naturally distressed surfaces are set off by the smooth polished silver and gemstones.
Measures R 1/2 (US 8 5/8, EU 59) but being square, it is will actually fit much bigger fingers. This ring cannot be sized.
As the ring is made from recycled material, I cannot give any guide to the composition of the steel used. It is therefore possibly not suitable for people with metal allergies.
