Candy Ring

This candy ring does remind me of some really sore and sweet candy…

My friend Bob began making these one-of-a-kind rings in 1937 out of antique celluloid (toothbrush handles, hand mirrors, combs, piano keys, musical instruments, etc.).

Each ring is painstakingly assembled from 20-150 separate pieces, without the use of molds. The tools used are a hand saw, metal files, and sandpaper. The time required to make each ring is about one day.
